A city festival on a square in the heart of town, where sound had to stay within limits and the picture had to be clearly visible for everyone.
A square surrounded by homes places strict demands on sound levels, while a large crowd still needs to hear and see the stage everywhere.
We advised a sound setup that spreads the level evenly rather than pushing it hard at the front, with measurement at the facades and large screens for visibility at the back.
A distributed sound system with delay reinforcement, continuous sound measurement and projection on large screens beside the stage for the audience further away.
We placed measuring points at the surrounding facades, monitored the level all evening and fed the picture live in step with what was happening on stage.
The festival stayed within the agreed limits and yet the whole square heard the acts well. Even at the back, the audience followed everything on the large screens.
