Marken has an atmosphere you will not find anywhere else: wooden houses on stilts, a lively harbour and the wide open water of the Markermeer as a backdrop. We build our AV around that setting. Rather than technology that demands attention, HuurAV chooses a setup that brings the historic surroundings and the view over the water to the fore. Warm lighting accents along a facade, focused illumination of the harbour or a subtle atmospheric build in an old building: everything is tailored to the place itself.

For the sound, at private parties we work with compact, easily directed setups. This keeps the music clear for your guests while the surroundings stay peaceful. If you want to combine speeches, a ceremony or a presentation with music, we provide microphones and a sound distribution that can be followed well everywhere.

Suitable events and locations in Marken

The scale and character of Marken lend themselves perfectly to intimate and private events. Think of a wedding with a ceremony by the water and a party in a historic building, or a private party for family and friends with the harbour as a backdrop. Small-scale corporate events and a presentation or gathering for business relations also gain extra impact in this special place.

Suitable locations include the venues and hospitality spots around the harbour, the characteristic buildings in the village and the outdoor areas with a view over the Markermeer. For outdoor moments we take wind and weather into account, along with a responsible power supply in the older buildings.

For a festive highlight we bring in special effects, such as a light haze base for the lighting or a surprising effect during the first dance. We operate all elements on site, so the whole runs like a tightly directed production.

Accessibility and setup from Amsterdam

Marken lies about 18 kilometres from our home base in Amsterdam and is easily reached by road. Because the village has narrow streets and limited parking, we plan the transport and setup carefully. Where possible, we bring equipment close to the entrance in consultation and work in time slots that suit the location. Our technicians handle the setup, the operation during your event and the breakdown, so the surroundings are left neat and tidy.
