Outdoor ceremony with discreet sound
An open-air wedding ceremony where every word had to be audible, with unobtrusive sound technology, reliable microphones and a weather-resistant setup.
Outdoors there are no walls to carry sound and always the chance of wind or a rain shower. The ceremony had to stay intimate, so the technology could not dominate the scene.
We advised a compact, distributed sound setup that amplifies the voices naturally without a stage feel, plus backup microphones and covers in case the weather turned.
Slim speakers on stands along the aisle, a lapel mic for the celebrant and a handheld microphone for the vows, all battery-powered so no cables ran through the grass.
Built in the morning with a windshield test and a sound check at the seats, while a technician monitored the levels from a distance without being visibly present.
Every guest heard the vows clearly, even in the back row. The technology stayed almost invisible and a brief shower did not affect the setup.
